Over the Winter of 2020/21 the brewers at Fanø Bryghus had the pleasure of partnering with University of Copenhagen’s Department of Food Science and Technology student Christina Chatzinikolaou on the development of what we hoped would be the perfect Gose beer. Over that time Christina brewed several test batches, comparing everything from yeast strains and souring methods to the final beer’s chemical stability. We could bore you with more details of all the work she put in but label space has it limits, just trust us when we stay she worked her ass off. Her results were then presented to the University as part of Christina Masters Thesis and now it is finally presented here in this bottle. “Flower Child” is bright and lively beer, tart with subtle saltiness and aromatics coriander and hibiscus.
