Seaside Slumber

A Gose is a traditional German style of wheat beer that is characterised by lactic sourness and a distinctive saltiness. It is not a wild ale, but rather a clean sour featuring freshness and high thirst-quenching capability, thanks to a low alcohol content and a subtle aroma of coriander seeds that are added to the wort at the end of the boil. We kept this very simple, including in the recipe a high amount of wheat malt that balances both sourness and saltiness with a good body and malty character.
