When Slowburn was no more than an idea and pilot batches were homebrewed on the porch of a house in Valby, it was the years of New England IPAs becoming more and more hype, sweeping the craft beer market and knocking to the curb most other IPA styles. That’s when it became clear that brewing one was as a matter of fact mandatory. Voice of the people. That’s the meaning of the latin name we gave to this golden fruity nectar.

A yeast strain originated in England and made legendary by a famous Vermont brewery ferments this beer drier than one would expect, still leaving behind a full body and plenty of esters reminiscent of ripe peaches and melon. This fruitiness blends with the aromas of a massive dry hopping of Citra and Mosaic, used both in the form of T90 and Cryo pellets. Bitterness is of course kept low as per style requirements.

This is for sure one of our favourites, and probably the absolute favourite by our customers.

Why a parrot on the label? Try spending 8 hours shifts at a beer bar hearing only “hazy” “juicy” and then come up with a better animal to stick on the can.
